SABERHAGEN: The Fragile Outcast
The Fragile Outcast was a collection by Sabrina Saberhagen, inspired by her experience of growing up as a mixed-race kid and navigating the feeling of not fully fitting in. As a cross-cultural immigrant, I could deeply resonate with this.
She wanted to bring in her Filipino heritage alongside her interest in NASCAR racing. What started as me taking photos for her bachelor’s inspired me to create a hypothetical fashion show that meshes this together—an identity colliding on a runway. This is a collection for those who have. The Fragile Outcast isn’t just a title—it’s a truth for many, and it is incredible to showcase it through this collection.
